d14 Sessions #4, May 20
with Dieter Roelstraete, Curator documenta 14
LOCATION: Starts at Kunsthochschule Kassel, Entrance A
TIME: 2–5 pm
Hosted by Tokonoma Hörverstehen
During a two-part session, Dieter Roelstraete will employ a more peripatetic, meandering approach. First, there will be a short excursion, or rather a “poetic ramble through the landscape” of the city, spurred on by a number of artistic strategies wedding work and walks in urban spaces. Subsequently, during a listening comprehension session (Hörverstehen) at Tokonoma, Roelstraete will narrate some spurious and compelling connections between certain musical legacies. These day and night components will lay the foundations for developing new cartographies of thought and practice in further sessions.
d14 Sessions is a series taking place each Friday during the summer semester 2016 with Kunsthochschule Kassel and documenta 14. Open only to students, sign up is required for this session at Kunsthochschule Kassel Südbau/Raum 2310, on Tuesday from 4–5 pm. The Night Shift is an intermittent program of nocturnal activities exploring how the body responds to the shift from day to night and back to day. It is open to the public.
d14 Sessions is a documenta 14 project in collaboration with Kunsthochschule Kassel. Visual communication designed by Karoline Achilles and Samson Kirschning.
