General Description:

Shape-shifting, disorientation and a search for new coordinates are amongst the layers of documenta 14, which will take place in both Athens and Kassel in 2017. During the build up to this project, working title Learning from Athens, a series of 12 sessions will be held on Friday afternoons (2–5 pm) with the Kunsthochschule Kassel, inviting students to think and move collectively along entangled roads of enquiry with the documenta 14 team. The sessions will draw out subjects ranging from the urban landscape, to listening, conservation and ruin, to corpo-literacy, and the night, using a variety of formats – such as talks, field-trips, walks, listenings as well as public lectures. Occasional special guests feature within the programme. Sessions will be conducted in English.

The Night Shift is a set of nocturnal activities that observe how our bodies respond to the shift between the day and the night, and is open to the public.
