Research Associate | Middle and Recent Art History

Leonie Kortmann has been a research associate in Art History and Aesthetics (Prof. Dr. Sitt) since 2021. As part of her bachelor studies in art history and art pedagogy at the Julius Maximilian University of Würzberg (2014-2017) she completed an Erasmus semester at the Institut Catholique de Paris in France. For her master’s studies she switched to the interdisciplinary program ‘Art Mediation and Cultural Management’ at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf. There she focused on the links between art history and business administration with a practical orientation to the culture industry. This was followed by a year abroad at the Art History Seminar at the University of Basel. In 2020 she completed her master’s degree with a thesis on “Copies after Tizian - Repetition and Re-creation.”
