Professorship for Philosophy

The teaching program, which in addition to the program of Art History and Aesthetics is also embedded in the program at the Department of Philosophy at the Institute for Philosophy at the University of Kassel, covers the subject in its full breadth, but focuses on the areas of aesthetics and art theory.

Studies in the fields of philosophy, comparative literature, and art history at the University of Bonn, where he received his doctorate in 1989.

Since 2006 Managing Editor of ‘Wittgenstein-Studien. Internationales Jahrbuch für Wittgenstein-Forschung’ and since 2009 president of the International Ludwig Wittgenstein Society (ILWG).
