Study workshop for typography

The study workshop for typography has transformed itself from what was formerly just a lead typesetting workshop into a kind of typography studio. Courses are held place here with a view to the constantly changing technological environment and they are no longer geared towards media, but content. The tuition available and projects for the various courses communicate information on the history, classification and anatomy of typefaces in the context of the experimental use of language and onomatopoeic sounds of language. A glimpse at art and design history allows participants to recognise interrelationships in the design of typefaces. Topic areas like virtual typography, experimental layouts, corporate design or typeface design are the major focus of the other courses. They particularly concentrate on micro-typographical aspects. The courses are normally open to students on any study programmes.
