Together with curator Ayşe Güleç, you will explore Kassel's city center and visit sites of right-wing extremist violence. In a dialogical guided tour, questions about the culture of remembrance and commemoration are reflected upon. The focus is on topics such as the culture of remembrance, individual and collective experiences and lessons from the past for a better future. Starting at Halit-Platz, where Halit Yozgat was murdered in 2006, the tour leads to the memorial „Die Rampe – Ankunft und Ende“ by artist E.R. Nele, which commemorates the crimes of National Socialism. Other important sites will be visited before the Critical Walk ends at the „Offener Prozess“ exhibition.
