The course series Purzelblumen uses various methods to analyze the consolidation of gender binarity within school physical education. This is a theoretical foundation for the cis-heteronormative society and thus simultaneously functions as a blueprint for the increasing violence towards queer bodies. The transphobic discourse is outlined to highlight and subsequently contextualize this violence. Afterwards, in the practical part, the prevailing ideas of gender, body, movement and health are deconstructed (within a sports course). For this purpose, a queer movement offer was built in the course Purzelblume.
