Invitation to the Frauen*vollversammlung

The purpose of the meeting will be to exchange information and impressions about work at the Kunsthochschule in relation to women and equal opportunity, and to hold new elections for representatives to the decentralized women’s and equal opportunity board.

All those who identify as women or non-binary persons are invited–students, academic staff, administrative or technical staff, professors, and guest professors at the Kunsthochschule.

Roles and duties
As part of their office, the decentralized women’s and equal opportunity representatives can take part in decisive positions in the implementation and organization of the Kunsthochschule’s gender equality mandate. They have an advisory role in the boards at the Kunsthochschule and can also provide input on questions of gender equality in the structures at the University of Kassel and beyond. The women’s and equal opportunity representatives from the staff group also play important advisory role in the appointment committees and hiring procedures at the Kunsthochschule.

The position allows for space to define one’s own emphases within this scope of duties and provides opportunities for networking and further training.

Individual or team
Since a total of 5 representatives from the employees’ group a 2 student representatives can be elected, responsibilities for upcoming tasks and projects can be spread across several persons. Ideal would be a team in which all status groups were represented.

Equal treatment of everyone within the Kunsthochschule is an important goal at the office of the rectorate, which will support the future person or the team in these duties and will incorporate it in its own work.

The staff representatives of the women’s and equal opportunity board will be elected at the plenary meeting for 2 years, the student representatives for 1 year, authorized by the rector.

Those interested in working in the future team of women’s and equal opportunity representatives are cordially invited to make contact with the prorector Kathrin Albers or the Consultant for Studies, Diversity, and Anti-discrimination Nina Ulbrich, even before the plenary meeting.
