Places of remembrance are indispensable components in overcoming collective trauma. Their importance lies in anchoring socially significant events in public space, thereby inscribing them in public space and thus in history. In a joint discussion, we will explore the effects of violence as well as the structures and challenges of a culture of remembrance.
