Making a Working Inventory for the KhK

What should you know, be able to know, know if you study at the Kunsthochschule Kassel?

Architect, urbanist and critic Michael Sorkins conceived the book "Two Hundred and Fifty Things an Architect Should Know." In 2021, it was completed after his death with advice from his wife, Joan Copjec. The list in the book is poetic, practical, playful in equal measure and shows that a discipline is not just about technical information. Designer, teacher, and researcher Danah Abdulla used this format in the publication "Designerly Ways of Knowing: A Working Inventory of Things a Designer Should Know" adapted for design.

Based on these two works, a local version of an inventory will be created for the Kunsthochschule Kassel. Concrete or general, critical or praising, practical or abstract, a tip or a question, a work or an approach, a concept or an activity.
