Hessen Talents go Berlinale

To mark the 15th anniversary of HESSEN TALENTS, the four filmmaking universities in Hesse will once again be presenting selected up-and-coming productions in Berlin. The HESSEN TALENTS 2024 program includes 15 animated, experimental, feature films and documentaries that were created as final-year and semester projects at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, Offenbach University of Art and Design, Kassel University of Art and Design and RheinMain University of Applied Sciences, Wiesbaden.

• Staring by Xiaoxuan Yu and Tianshu Yang

• Yellow cards & purple dungarees - finds from the Borken women's movement by Paula Berger
• The Ship of Theseus by Thanh-Giang Nguyen

From the HOCHSCHULE DARMSTADT:

• Renting is Spooky by Katharina Fohrmann
• Cloud Z by Janina Lutter
• Petrushka by Ulrich Stöcker

From the HOCHSCHULE RHEINMAIN, Wiesbaden:

• Nova & Charlie by Theresa Philine Kramer
• Intoxication by Max Stauffer
• BIRD by Kristin Garrelts
• Work in Transition by Emiliano Proietti (out of EFM-Screening)

From the HOCHSCHULE FÜR GESTALTUNG OFFENBACH AM MAIN:

• The unlived life of Veve Kiselev
• Bow and Arrow by Savvy Sun

The film program was selected by professors from the four film-making universities in Hesse. They received support from professional visitors to the Hessian University Film Day in November 2023 in Kassel.
